While we're at it, I'd like to place a canal across my territory. It shall be called the Gladius Canal

3d6=12

And now The Realm of Swords shall charge for shipping across the canal. Even with our fees you'll still save thousands over going around the continent folks. Think about it, won't you? Thank you.

I pour money into researching an army of super-monkey-warriors!

Yay! I use the monkeys to enforce my rule with a hairy, chimpy fist!

Nahhhhhhhhhh. I don't consider myself GM so much as "facilitator", anyway.

The Autonomous Zone of Quixote extends to the Commonwealth of Soviet Republics a cautious offer of mutual aid: We send you some things, you send us some things, we both help each other out in the case that either is invaded but not necessarily if either of us launch a war.

Meanwhile, the Clandestine Insurrectionist Rebel Clown Army begins its training exercises by staging massive street comedy performances involving prominent political figures and a number of cream pies. Rolling for propaganda campaign!

Result: three victories for the people!

(A note: the rules for this game are all more or less untested and open to change. If anyone has some bright idea for improving the Nation Game, they should come out and say it already. Likewise, if there's anything that really ought to be added to the first post, suggest it.

Also, I may start shoddily drawing events as they happen. Anybody can do that, of course.)

A man once said to me, "If you want superpowers, all you have to do is take acid and you'll have any superpower you want." He then asked if I had just, at that moment, shaved half my face; I revealed that as being my superpower. Being suddenly and inexplicably half-shaven.

The Rollerens begins construction upon a 1000-foot rollercoaster. Rollercoaster Island sends out invitations to all the nations of the world to get in line while it's still short.

In other news, rollercoaster-related murders have increased 5000%

Well, that didn't work out so well. Now I have no army.

Misc action test:
The Dominion attempts to create a dual-purpose melee and ranged weapon for it's assault troopers! The best scientists, artificiers and forgers are called upon to lead the study...

http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2028490/
[3,5,2] = (10)

3: Researchers look into the Dominion Archive for referrences to Ancient Weaponry for inspiration. Alas, the door is locked, and the one who was supposed to bring the key forgot all about it. Idiot!

5: Artificier Master General Xasyston works day and night to design a fearsome polearm that discharges lightning from it's tip! Unfortunately, he passes out from sleep deprivation just as he was about to discover how to make it.

2: Eureka! Inspired by the Artificier's efforts, BattleForgers come up with a halberd that shoots balls of fire when modes are switched. Sadly, it's forging was not of the best quality, and the prototypes available are very heavy.

10: Hurrah! The design has been made lighter, and as such, specially trained shock troopers will be indoctrinated in the weapon's needs and uses. The Infernoguard is born! Eat steel and flame, modern gunmen!

-----

The Dominion calls up it's most reckless men to assault the northwest province!

http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2028490/
[3,3,6]=(12)

3: Dominion forces strike deep into the heart of the lesser kingdom beside it, but are trapped by a cunning ploy by the enemy! Entire Legion is wiped out at the Battle of St. Toady's Bridge.

3: A second assault burns down a barbarian city, but alas! There was nothing in it, and it contributed little to the campaign.

6: The enemy commander is killed in a well-timed assault by the Infernoguard! Flame engulfs the enemy trenches.

12: Success! The Dominion banner flies over the province, which shall be renamed the province of Zyrestra!

-----

All this was a test. Put simply, "ami doin' it rite guise?"
