:D

I love that line. It doesn't fit in with the rest of the game at all, and that makes it even better.
My favorite is still "You guys sound like chapters out of a self-help booklet!"

My favorite line is "You spoony bard!" even though it isn't in this game.

Onward, to great glory!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Next time on Josh's FF6 LP: The returner's hideout!

((Note: it's actually possible to beat Vargas without using pummel. IIRC he has something like 12,000 hp, so in order to do it within the time limit he places on you, you'd have to grind your party such that the average level between everyone is so high that Boksi would start out at a sufficiently high enough level (seeing as how every new character follows the party's average level + 2 when determining level) so that you can aurabolt him to death.))

Yeah, there's a lot of weird things you can achieve if you grind the shit out of the game at different points.

You're wrong about the bio-blaster.  All of Edgar's tools that do spread damage don't work like magic spreads.  It's more like "field" damage, it has the same attack power per target, no matter how many targets there are.

Anyway, make sure Oknido pusses out and refuses to help the Returners.  Not only is the cutscene and plot better, but you get the vastly more awesome Gengi Glove.  And steal all the stuff in the storeroom - the Returners don't need that White Cape anyway.

I agree! We must feed our thief's treasure hunter's rampant kleptomania acquisitional tendencies.

Boksi deserves it far more.  What kind of martial arts claw fighter uses a shield, instead of two claws?

I demand that for the white water rafting, you use a key command recorder to set the game into that looping section with Banon healing and everyone attacking.  Then leave the game running for a couple hours so the part is like level 60.

Still, he can have it until we actually have two claws for me to equip, because I didn't notice any sort of shopping going on there.

Also did you know that in the second kefka fight (the one in Narshe, after everyone joins back up), it's possible to steal infinite elixirs and ethers? That's a bit later on in the game though

Speaking of claws - you missed your shot at, one of the monsters  (Rhinotaur) on the path leading to the Returner base drops has Mithril Claw as a rare steal.

And, yes, it is indeed important to make sure you face a Rhodox. Show of hands, does anyone here not know why?

A complete rage list for Gau?  I never use him, no matter how good you say he is.

Doesn't have to be complete, just has to have that one thing on it - think X-Zone with no MP cost. It's great for taking out giant sandworms when you're low on cash in the WoR.

While on the topic of Gau's rage, the Stray Cat one is good. It makes him attack in melee all the time, and it's Catscratch ability deals a huge amount of damage.

Also, we could have stolen a Mythril Claw from Vargas as well.

Yeah, but you can't count on rare steals in boss battles (except for that second kefka fight)
