I'm a teenager and I do not disagree with that. We can feed and look after ourselves, so we have no excuse for the fact that we do not contribute to society in general, and our only worth is in the fact that an extremely small amount of us have the drive or the potential to become that next great inventor, or philosipher, or a doctor, or a lawyer, or a scientist. Sadly, those who don't will usually aspire to the fast food industry or a desk job.

Wait, the only options are to be the next Einstein, or have a menial job forever?

When was the last time you heard of a great philosopher? I can't help but think that they are no longer appreciated... Inventors are often valued, but not paid, lawyers are often paid, but not valued, but I have no problem with multiple different value systems... Without desk jobs and manual labour intellectual professions are limited at best, and opportunities often fail to represent aspirations...

Wait, so if you don't have a menial job forever then you are Einstein?

Well... besides professional athletics and playing the stocks, basically. You either do something great or become another cog in the machine.

But cogs are great, it is just that there are so many of them that they lose all their relative value...
