Ah, I've found a spot that fits the bill; see http://mkv25.net/dfma/poi-13885-volcano.

It's got an two magma vents (one of which is exposed), an underground river and pool, a chasm and red sand.

Created in DF v0.28.181.40d.

There's a small hitch. Orcs and Hill Giants are never showing up in the civilization list.

OK.

Halt worldgen, I have gotten a consult on the likely problem.

I will post a poll next, to fix this problem, some races must go.

Now, you get to vote on who gets THE AXE!  Yarr!

Monkeyvich.

EDIT:  The poll is up.   Voting will be open until all players say they have voted.  If we have stray votes, we'll have to do it by PM so please other forum users... LOL don't vote if you're not playing.

Kobalds. The little buggers are not cute or funny, and they shouldn't be mascots of the game. Kobalds are serious business: Kill them.

OK ... I take it neither small skulking nor larger flying reptilian humanoids will be taking home the "Among Existing Races" trophy this year.  Off they go into nullspace.

Once I get the changes done this evening I'll reload the package to DFFD for worldgen.

Looks like Draconians are the other race that got the axe.

Indeed. However, an updated set of raws hasn't been posted and my own modifications weren't successful at remedying the problem.

Apologies for my long absence.  Haven't been feeling well.

I will re-examine the wildsacks raws today and hopefully it's something minor.....

First solution attempt, Draconians and Kobolds are axed.

Hopefully, this will cause the game to straighten up and act right.

Monkeyvich! You're alive, I was worrying for a while, hope you're feeling better.

If you can get the new raws up, I will generate a few (or 20) worlds, yeah, testing revealed my average worldgen speed is 32 seconds with history (up to 350).

So, I will see if I can find an... Interesting site *laughs manically*
No, seriously.
