It would be incredibly useful to have the trade depot use the "typing filter" like the manager.

It could be a bonus of getting one of the nobles (broker & trade minister maybe), as a potential reward component of said nobles.

I find that locating the specific bins/items that I want to drag to the depot pretty painful later in the game, when I've gotten hundreds of barrels + bins, and hundreds of other loose items...
