Well, while waiting for your guys bio's I'll break some things down. There are five turns per in-game week. Unless already specified, each action takes only a turn. Moving around is free because if you can't cover 80 feet in 8 hours, you don't deserve to live. You automatically consume five units of food and three units of drink each week. If you're able to move then you will automatically be able to use the river if no barrels are filled. If you are unable to walk, you better pray to your god that someone fills a barrel with water. You can be active for 5 turns before spending a turn asleep, however if you rest a turn then the counter stays the same for that turn (I.E. you have four turns left, you do an action, you have three turns left. You rest a turn to regain stamina, you still have three turns of activity). The wagon is oversized and the map is shittily drawn, it represents only a basic idea of the features of the site. We're doing a calendar of four seasons, 8 weeks in a season. No farming or foraging can be done in winter, so either stockpile up, or pray for some good fishing and hunting.

(I'm new to GM'ing, so if something seems horribly un-balanced then please please please tell me. Also, buildings have varying requirements of materials so if you start building something please tell me how big, how nice you're making it, etc. so I can inform you of the cost of materials).

Helpful tip #1. You can build dams just by throwing a bunch of stone in.

Helpful tip #2. You can put nets inside a gap in the dam to let water through and keep fish.

Helpful tip #3. Geese are flying through to the north for springtime. They like ponds and cattails.

Helpful tip #4. A port will allow merchants to unload goods quicker.

Helpful tip #5. Conveyor belts and other such mechanisms are perfectly available if you can find a way to make them with your supplies.

Helpful tip #6. Birds poop, alot. For a good hunter, fresh gong = fresh meat.


Your wagon has been rolled down off the ship and the captain quickly departed your shores. You're stuck here, many miles from home, with only the supplies that will allow you survival, not comfort.

Contents of wagon:280 units of meat, equal portions beef, chicken, salmon, and goose. 280 units of drink, 1/4th beer, 3/4ths water. 40 seeds, equal portions corn, potatoe, cabbage, pumpkin. 2 axes, 3 sets of saws and levels, an anvil (with bellows, tongs, and a hammer), a pickaxe (with a chisel, a hammer, and a spiked pole), 2 ploughs, 2 sickles, 2 bows, 2 quivers full of 50 arrows, 4 lengths of rope. This is all contained in 14 barrels and 4 thick bags. You have a bull and a dog as pets.

Critters on map: A small group of 3-4 geese are feeding at the pond. A flock of sparrows settled in the trees southwest of your wagon, across the river. A bear in his cave, at the top of the sheer mountain.

Take pickaxe and rope. Climb mountain using those (it's a cliff, right?). Mine brains out of bear. Claim cave as own.

If this isn't a full turn yet, I start mining a passageway (spiral ramp!) between the top and the base of the cliff/mountain.

I'll take the other axe, and swim across the river to begin chopping logs.  They'll need to be big enough to span the river at it's narrowest, as I plan on building a primitive bridge with them, preferably in the northern region.
