get some legendary weapon- and armorsmiths to forge as many full suits of armor and sets of weapons you want to use in adventure mode as possible. leave 30 or so units of raw adamantine for moods. or blow it all on socks, the ultimate in dwarf destruction technology.

also, make some fun weapons like scourges.

It's always best to save a few wafers and leave it by your forges in case an armor or weaponsmith gets into a strange mood and suddenly creates an instrument of death for you.

Depending on how early on things are, you can buy out entire caravans with a couple of adamantine mugs.

I'm assuming that's raw adamantine mugs. Be silly to waste all that processing effort to make them at a forge.

Adamantine armor is always useful. Artifact adamantine weapons are fun but if you get one lock it up and throw away the key. If a dwarf picks it up he'll slaughter your whole army while sparring, and then hell go mad and won't put it down. You'll have to kill him before his antics cause a tantrum spiral.

You see, booze is a parasite. It lives off dwarves and compels them to dig into the ground so as to create massive defences to protect it's self. It really shouldn't be called dwarf fortress, Booze fortress would make much more sense.

Use it to coat the skeletal system of one of your legendary wrestlers.

Of course, since the DF tech level doesn't allow you to MELT the stuff, you'll actually have to NAIL IT ON, but he's a dwarf, he can take it.

Make Giant Axe Blades and other trap componets.

Also, make a bunch of Masterly crafted Adamantine Ballistia warheads for adventure mode. Its like throwing a nuclear missile at your enemies.
