Thank you all for your wonderful patience, I've been trying hard to live up to your expectations. What I think has set these weeks aside from other times when hiatuses occured is that I've actually been busy drawing
The videogame metafiction a couple pages back was too much for me. I had a dream the other night that I was actually playing it! It was a strange unholy combination of Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, and Dwarf Fortress adventure mode. It was fun holding an enemy by the head while he uselessly tried to attack me. Thank you for that.
As a side note, most everything written in this thread can and will be used for inspiration and suggestion. So be careful what you say about the not-clock man

:"I don't understand it!"
:"What's wrong, Sophia?"
:"Oh, hello Advisor. I haven't seen you for a while. Like what I've done with the place?"
:"I see you were serious about the whole reordering of society thing..."
:"Yes, yes I was. As you can see, I've neatly reworked the relationship grid of my school to its most efficient state possible. Everyone is divided up into mostly m-f-f friend groups, which I've found to be much more stable than the f-m-m configurations... Oh! And no more enemies either! That's one of the first things I eliminated from the net."
:"You've really come far since that first night, I see."
:"True... However, something's been bothering me recently."
:"Can I be of any service?"
:"Maybe. There's a missing link to my chain, and it is worrying."
:"A missing link?"
:"Everyone has relationships. Even those that do not have friends have acquaintances, at least. But.... there's this one kid on my wall that no one has even met before! He's in the school registry, but he doesn't partake of the social world!"
:"... You sure about this?"
:"Of course I'm sure! Whatever is the matter? You seem less... ominous than usual."
:"I fear it may be too late. Show me the photograph. I will take you to him, Sophia. And I hope for both our sakes that my suspicions are unfounded."
:"They may already be here."
