Is there still time to join? If so, here's a basic description of my corporation:

Corritic Advanced Nanosyntethics

Corritic was found in 2025 as a joint venture between research departments of the mettal processing giant Corrus, Semocpnductor expert ItoM and Sabic petrochemicals. Their initial aim was to be the first company providing comercialy availible nanoelectronics, using the recent advances in hot superconductors, carbon nanotubes and grafene sheets. Their original aim was to provide the facilities for producing the first commercialy availible megaquibit quantumcomputers. By 2028 their first prototypes were availible, and by 2032 the joint venture had become an independent company, holding aproximately 46% of the semiconductor market and 89% of the qunatum computing market.

In the year 2048 the company started branching out their exploits, with a nanocomposits and an advanced nanorobotics section. In 2064 they further axpanded by founding their zero-gravity cristal synthesis department.

During 2072 the company was involved in what has become known as the Corona incident, in which exceptional solar activity caused an enery spike in the alaska-siberia superconducting electrical connection, short-cirquiting the entire westcoast of the united states. This almost sparked a war between the united states and the new peoples republic of united china, untill Corritic was able to prove that Corona superconductors had missinstalled their failsaves on said connection. Or at least it is officialy stated that it was Corrona's fault, thouhg their are those who's oppionions differ. What ever the cause was, this put Corritic in complete controll of the superconductor market.

In 2092, after the asteroid Capira 7 devastated a large part of Corritic's production facilities in the middle-east, including their headquarters, a new CEO took over. His plans were clear: To become the greatest corporation on earth, no matter the cost. Their plans for the next 20 years were clear: Expand. Up, down, in other dimentions if you have to. The new pollicy mandated that only the best of their field could work for Corritic. But since the best would not suffice, Corritic went one step beyond. Whoever would be accepted as part of the staff would have to agree to genetical and mechenical enhancements, a rigorous training program and killing working hours. However, many accept since the pay is phenomonal, the status is great and workers get free implants that even the richest CEO can't obtain yet. Some say they are the most important guinea pig databank on earth.

This radical shift revitalised the then somewhat sleepy company, leading to a burst of new discoveries. In 2093, the Terraquibit limit for quantum computers was broken, which directly enabled scientists to solve the Hefner equation. In 2095, Coritic engineers solved the cristaline distortion problem, which directly lead to most of the modern hyperceramics. In 2096 the discorvery of Diapolaric masking lead to the first commercialy available monopol magnets and in the same year technicians working on the electron convection problem in carbon nanotubes stumbeled upon a way to make polymer tubes of any length and type. It was then that one of the grandest projects in human history started: Corritic would build a bridge to the stars.

The agenda for the comming years is clear:
1.) Build a prototype space elevator and several prototype skyhooks on the moon.
2.) Construct several orbital elevators on earth.
3a.) Monopolise the market for surface to orbit transport.
3b.) Be the first to terraform and colonise Venus.
4.) Use this as a jumping board for the colonisation of space.

New page update!

GaiaCorp: Extreme Colonizers, who may or may not be completely nuts.

Defense Corp: Ruthless mercenaries with a distinctive lack of morals.

Terra-form United: A company devoted to the exploration and colonization of Mars in particular.

Starpower Industries: FTL/nuclear-focused company with access to the main source of FTL/Fusion fuel.

Helix Firm: Genetics-focused company, has come under fire for it's unethical practices.

Australian Colonization Incorporated: A company that used to be based in Australia, before the continent was obliterated via tectonics. They prioritize the colonization of Europa over that of Mars.

LSA: Portal-inspired company specializing in robotics, cybernetics, and manufacturing. Possibly lead by an insane computer.

The Bradwell Organization: An "old money" company with a great deal of political acumen, seems to have set its sights on Mars.

CAN: Nano/Quantum technology focused, with quite a lot of effort being diverted into a new space colonization program.

Once tried to conquer Earth, and succeeded! Too bad it got really, really boring, really, really fast.

One day, we shall all look back on this, and laugh. Sorry about the face, by the way, and the legs, and the eyes, and the arms. In fact, sorry 'bout the whole body.

Anyone want to ally with AusCorp to bring humanity to space? Gaiacorp? Anybody?

Terra-form United, would you like to ally with the Baradwell Organization and work together to make a colony on Mars?

Blizzard is managed by dark sorcerers, and probably have enough money to bail-out the federal government.

Oh dear, two opponents to Mars. They're also united now, at least I have something of a head start.

Oh dear, mars will be hot. I wish you guys succes. If you ever need carbon dioxide to terraform the little bugger, just call ;)

Anyway,

Starpower Industries, I am willing to discuss a deal with you. We are not aiming for the same market. Your area is faster then light transport. We aim for the transport of goods from the surface of a planet to orbit. A joint venture would be ideal for both of us. You would gain acces to the fastest, most reliable connection between the surface and orbit of anyh sufficiently colonised world, and we would be able to expand our ventures unto any world with a mentionable amount of surface to orbit traffic.

Nuke: How's about we do a deal involving the transport of things to and from mars?

Huh, I find it rather strange that that paper does not mention the Venus base made specifically to piss of Defense Corp.
