I tried to grow out my beard once when I was 20 or so. I had dreams of a ZZ-Topesque beard, but all I could manage was a crazy hobo neckbeard.  :(

It was like I had an affro under my chin. It wasn't pretty.

I'm not quite old enough to have a truly dwarfy beard yet... All I can manage is a little chin fuzz. And a cool 'stache.

A "Chin-fro" is the term, I believe.

And a cool 'stache.

I have to call you out on this - there is no such thing as a "cool 'stache".  No mustache has ever looked like anything more than a bad decision.

Except Sam Elliots'.  His is the exception.

wearing a 70ties pornstache can look pretty damn cool....

it takes a big hunk of self esteem to display it properly, but it can definetly look cool...

If you have that you have to wear mirrored sunglasses though.

But yeah, for the most part moustaches without beards just make parents keep their kids away from you.

I've got a picture of me on my phone wearing an Acapulco shirt, a ball cap, and a Tom Sellek mustache.  I showed up to work like that for a week, and just couldn't take it anymore.  Maybe I'll go back to that, see how long I can last...

I don't have a good recent photo on this computer though.. but I'll put one up as soon as my girlfriend wakes up, mocks me for my idea and then takes a picture of me.. so... maybe in a day or two.. :-)

Wait, so your girlfriend takes days to wake up when she sleeps?  Are you dating a dwarf? :o

I have a beard, although it isn't very long. Mainly because I have very curly hair and I need to trim it occasionally or else I look kinda like a hobo.

Alabama CT Forever!

This would probably pass if I didn't live in Alabama.

The typical cheer is "Roll Tide!". There are other cheers (such as "Go Bama"), but none say anything about "Alabama CT" and most certainly none say "Alabama CT Forever".

Uhm... well I don't live in Alabama, but I like the team, so I've never been at a live game. They sure are the best at that sport! I've never even heard of a team that has the same level of competence of the field, court and/or rink. The opponent(s) only ever score with an excess of unsportsmanship!

Just got back from a cruise and grew out my facial hair during that time. It'll be gone tomorrow so here you go.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Huh - You look almost exactly like me. I wear this type of facial hair for last 6 years and feel a bit naked everytime I shave it.

I have to try out your haircut :)

I have one of those very general looks that can be similiar to a lot of people. celebrities I get a lot are James Dean and Daniel Craig. The haircut is just from a week of rolling around in the sand, seawater, fresh air and the wind blowing it around. I sparingly used any shampoo.

Normally I shave every other day or so. But I decided to keep it this time and see how far I can go. The wife will probably put her foot down in about a week, she normally only likes a 5 o'clock shadow. I'll take a pic then and show my progress. It is already quite a bit longer now than it was in that pic, which was from last Thursday.

And Barbarossa, you've just made us all feel pathetic with our scrawny unkempt beards compared to the ones in your pics. Is that from the '09 Beard Festival?
