So I COULD SHOULD take the corpse with me, then?
If you want to lug around a skinned, dripping old co- You know what? Let's just assume you do choose to do that. Knowing some of the players on this thing, there's not going to be any other outcome.

Hey, I'm a caring loving individual with feelings.

I just happen to enjoy impaling my enemies with a blunt staff, wearing their skin as a cloak and carrying their skinned corpse around for future use.

Is there really anything wrong with that?

I'm going to go have a cry and eat some iced cream.

Illusionary ice cream has 10% the calories of standard ice cream. Eat that instead.

In case the goto part of my action wasn't clear, I'm going through the unexplored door leading somewhere relatively safe, not the door leading to space that may or may not still be opened, leaking out the precious oxygen we desperately need to survive. I don't wish to attempt to learn to breathe in space yet.

...

Wait, what? We're in space, yet there's a magma corridor...?

Technically, you aren't in normal space. All will be revealed.

Are you sure I won't ever bolt-jump? Never give up, never surrender...

Anyway, I will do as the red text says and go wither.
Jumping in a high way.

For that viciously bad pun, I'm gonna introduce a NPC named Vlynndar just so that I can kill him of in a cruel and unusual way.

If the dungeon we started in was underground, I wonder how long that ladder we climbed was. Explains why we had to roll to climb it...

You are not in normal space, technically. But to help you understand think of it as an enormous hollow comet.

Makes me wonder. Why did these ritualists have a big room with giant spiders and goo on their comet? Did they feel the urge to add a petting zoo?

Naturally, I don't expect a rational explanation, but it's amusing to think over.

Wait, but weren't we in a pseudo-medieval fantasy village to begin with?  My personal thought is that doorway is actually a portal to outer space, which seems mildly pointless, really.

Anyone want to test what's on the other side of the maybe-portal to space if I magic up some sort of space suit for them?

It was for a ritual, obviously! And you bastards wrecked it!
