You are quite sure there is not and has never been any TOMMY GUN.

You will still succeed on a 5. Continue? Y/N

I think it's only fair to consider the Ent's point of view.

Relm, do you still want to do your action even though it won't accomplish anything?

Yep.  :P

i ignore the dagger and stab him with my chopping knife +1! instead
1+1(knife)+1(swordsman)=3. You try to swipe at him with the knife, but you miss.

Ride to the river and heal GruffyBears!
AUTO-FAIL: You go to the river, but GruffyBears recoils at your Cthuluesque form and refuses to let you heal him.

I let forth a focused sonic boom at the ent!
AUTO-SUCCESS: You blast the Ent with a sonic boom, dazing him for two turns.

I create an illusion of a crowd of screaming human civilians off to the beast's right. They will smell very tasty and humanlike. With them being a much larger target then the caravan, I hope the beast will go after them, falling over and breaking a leg while making a sudden turn to get to them faster.
6+stuff=5: You make an illusion of screaming civilians so lifelike that it actually summons them! Screaming in rage, they charge at the elephant, who is temporarily distracted. +2 summoning xp.

I try to use the spellbook to try and find Errol to argue with him about global warming
4. You use the spellbook and your searching skill to find Errol, successfully locating him. +1 xp to searching.

I venture off in search of women and booze, in that order.
3. You fail to find women and booze. You weep, knowing that your life is for naught.

> Fire RING OF KEYS at ENT.
2+1=3. You shake your FIST at the ENT! He is unimpressed.

I think it's only fair to consider the Ent's point of view.
6. You call upon the dark Sleuthian gods to answer your prayers. Magically, two powerful weapons fall from the sky, a powerful TOMMYGUN and devastating MINIGUN. However, in your mad rampage, you forget how to invent things. +2 xp to MSPA Reader. Laughing maniacally, you put your crossbow back into your backpack, grab the weapons, and gun down the beast with terrifying power.
4. 1. One TOMMYGUN shot misses the Ent and hits you in the side, making you near death. 5+1-1=5. The Ent skillfully leaps out of the way of the other.
5-1=4. 4-1=3. 4-1=3. 2-1=1. 1-1=1. One shot flies at the Ent, and one flies back toward you and kills you stone dead. 6. The Ent dodges, but falls into a ditch and cannot attack this turn.

Become frustrated and just search for magic items in the town.
4. You fail to find magic items in the town. This increases your FRUSTRATION by 3, to 3/5.

EVENTS
6. The bowgoblin fires at Phazer with such force that he flies backwards and knocks himself out for one turn! 2+2=4. Phazer dodges the bolt.

3. The oliphaunt charges at the crowd, but it is so blinded by rage that it misses completely.

4. The crowd tries to stab the Oliphaunt with pitchforks and hit it with torches, but it is totally oblivious to their tiny weapons.

This actually benefited you, Phazer. You are now fighting with a +1 weapon instead of a normal one.

Well, now that he's dead, he certainly won't mind me healing him, right?

Holy Resurrection of Cthulhu!

I take no responsibility if you end up a zombie.

I should probably be more careful about creating illusionary sentients.

Every illusionary mage needs an illusionary field artillery piece (Napoleonic era style) that appears at opportune times, such as when a zombie elephant needs to be shot. I fulfill this need for myself.
