Say a played manages to grow a set of enormously powerful teeth and manages to, I don't know, alter his body so that he can digest anything, then sure they could eat a wall, after a fashion. It's your call really, but use 'if they convince me, fine' mantra as a basis.

Actually, that said, it was always my thinking that a 5 would get you a basic pass if you try and do something you have no training for and a 6 will also get you a basic pass with the added bonus of fucking sucking for you and the people around you, sir!

I'm hoping to improve it, though.  Also, necromancy is magic, so the PCP staff will help as well.

Plus, I look like Cthulhu; raising unspeakable horrors is what I do.

I would argue that if a player can't learn a skill by performing it on-the-fly, and can only learn by I don't know, reading about them or something, isn't that a bit unfair? I mean, if you can't learn necromacy by performing it while you were fighting what do you do instead? Find a book? Ask someone who already knows how? For those you'd require a town or city. I don't know, it doesn't seem very logical.

You would learn, say, necromancy, by resurrecting mice or things.

However, Frelock already has regen, so he can resurrect dudes.
Also because Jack said so. So I guess you can do anything you want, but you only succeed with a 5 or 6.
