Giant Eagle fun
« on: April 10, 2009, 01:26:16 am »

Well for the first time ever, the elves brought something nice to trade. A tame Giant Eagle in a cage. I snatched it up obviously trading some worthless roast or some such.
Now my question to the public is, What should I do with said tame Giant Eagle. At the moment, its just sitting in my 1 tile meeting zone while the dorfs around it accumulate social xp.

Mod it to be war trainable, have a large litter size, and short gestation rate and hope for a breeding partner. Then, when the time comes, unleash your army of enraged war eagles on your opponents.

From personal experience you only need to add the [trainable] they breed very fast and grow quickly, and are very fun! They'll completely ignore your come inside stupid, and fly over your walls to devour your enemies.

....They just refuse to stay down unless butchered, in which case their skins will haunt you until you subdue and tan them. Never has legendary butcher and legendary tanner seemed so valueable as in this release.

I have to say, I was slightly annoyed when a human caravan guard shot down a Giant Eagle before I even noticed it.

Hey man. Watch out with what you buy from elves!

I bought a Giant Tiger. After purchase I inspected it and noticed that it had spinal, brain and eye injuries. Not that severe but I was still a bit moody ... and after just 2 years it died of old age!

DAMN ELVES
