Damage: Creatures vs. Weapons
« on: April 09, 2009, 06:36:05 pm »

I have a quick question here. The damage values given for the natural attacks of creatures seems to vary between 1 and 6 for the most part, while the values given by weapons are in the hundreds usually. Would this meant that a weapon actually does 100-ish damage, while a punch will actually do 1-2 damage? If not, how are these modified/related?

weapon damage = creature damage x10. So a 1-6 damage attack will do 10-60 "weapon" damage. Same with damblock vs. armor. However, it's modified by size and the arcane details of the combat formula, so we're not actually sure how it all fits together.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.
