How do I turn plants into adamantine wafers?

I have a plant, and I want to be able to extract adamantine wafers from it at a farmer's workshop. How do I do this?

as of yet it is immposible to mod in new reactions except for the smelter so it can be done just not at the farmers workshop
(PS:i dont know how to make smelter reactions)

What do I type?

Also, there's another plant that's supposed to become bauxite. How do I do that?

Forgot. This goes in 'Smelter Reactions', and you can subsitute out the plump helment for your plant.

The same goes for the bauxite, just change the product to STONE:NO_SUBTYPE:BAUXITE or something like that.

I'm pretty sure you need some more tags on the reagent there. I think the correct line is
[REAGENT:1:PLANT:NONE:MUSHROOM_HELMET_PLUMP:NONE]

I tried it, but now I can't start with the seeds for these plants. Why?

EDIT: Nevermind. It was because I didn't know I had to exit dwarf fortress before creating a new world to get it working. It works fine now.

Nope. Still doesn't work.

My furnace operator is just using up coal. He doesn't grab a bauxite rutabega, and no bauxite is created.

Yeah. I looked at that.

Also, I'm still having problems.

Also, no bauxite is created with bauxite rutabegas, and adamantine can be created with plump helmets instead of adamantine mushrooms.

Gold Herbs are fine.
