"Art thou in agreement Sir Inaluct, or wouldst thou rather bear a blade and fight the scum face to face and thus honor thine manhood?  If thine bow fell more of yonder blaggarts than mine axe, I'll shave mine beard and forev'r wear a masque of shame."

You, sirrah, do encroach upon mine honor.  I do command the fiends to surrender for tis required of myself by God and the Holy Church, though I would not waver from the fires of unquenchable holy wrath, should they consume my soul and cast a charge upon me to deliver justice to this world.  Tis not a thirst for blood, but for goodness and truth that I dost long for.

"Rather, this reproach of mine was for Sir Berserkicus, who would make a game of slaying these men..." He grinned. "Before they even have been offered surrender. But alas, as much as I enjoy our banter, we must hasten, for every word we speak in vain is another second that this altercation of the merchants and their assailants may sour - and turn bloody."

"I know that look, Sir Emperor.  I hast worn it many a time.  Fear not, blood was destined to be spilt this day, I can smell it."
