Its a shame, I think we should save a few threads if the VN boards get closed. Like Akroma's VN map thing, I enjoyed that alot.

But yeah, shame to see it go if it does.

I too would say that while VN had quite some..err..questionable things going, I believe we should still keep the board, under following changes:

- utter spam threads get cleaned out before re-opening

- a single topic should be openend as a chit-chat topic, under the title "Topics that do not deserve their own topic". It serves as a sponge, soaking up everything that else would be made into a spam-topic instead


- a rule about thread derailing should be made, to prevent topic from going too far off-road


- porn would, of course, also be forbidden. After having faced the suddenly oh so real threat of admin-intervention, people should stick to that on their own




as for Kagus, well. I guess I should apologize for the harsh tone. I am however not entirely convinced that you were not involved in that, even if indirectly and not on purpose

The thing that bothers (bothered?) me the most about Various Nonsense and what has leaked the most to other regions is the way of treating a thread more like a chat than a discussion.

That is a sure way to get a thread derailed and fill it with unnecessary comments. Also this kind of impulsive posting is likely to cause misunderstandings that lead quite often to conflicts. Though any kind of posting is prone to misunderstanding and derailment, some kinds are just less so than others.
