22nd granite, 40, early spring, journal of Varkarrus, legendary miner/journalist.

Arrgghhh... This place is a mess.

It is sprawled out all over the place. I also have noticed that we seem to be wasting a lot of time pumping out craft after craft, so I devised an idea. We have a large amount of gems, so I decided to build a Jeweler's workshop. We also have no furnaces, so I built some of those too. I also had to set some people to start jeweling.

Armok! We're rich! I struck sapphires! 6 of them!


Arghh. There sure are a lot of goblins and kobolds. We will need to start building more weapons. I dug out a limestone vein, but it went right through the bedrooms. I will get someone to build walls later.


3rd slate, 40, mid-spring

Oh thank god. Migrants. And two of them are ready for job training!

25th Felsite, 40, late-spring

Things are going well. We have cut a lot of gems, made Iron axes, and we have started fishing at the mysterious river that Darth must have dug out. He's grown to be as good as me at mining. I have also started digging around where gems are.

We've built up a lot of good wealth.

7th malachite, 40, mid-summer

Lots has happened. I dug out many new areas, a tower has started construction and we got a new artifact. One of our working stiffs got possessed and made a ring.

Sorry. This fortress is BONED.

I reccommend taking your name of the list. The fortress design is awful. Sorry.

If you still want to go, start where the other guy left off. I'm going to work on starting a better succession game.
