What sort of pets do you have?
« on: April 06, 2009, 10:54:34 pm »

Well, the big Toad just got a cat named Scamps, which got me wondering:
What kind of pets do you guys have?

I currently have:
2 dogs, a 17 pound chug and a massive 134 pound golden retriever
1 psychopathic miniature russian hamster (He killed his cagemate the first day we got him)
2 pet rats

What do you guys have?

I had a goldfish named Pablo...

and a silvergoldfish name Cortes...

BUT. I do have a Doxon and an old decrepit (converts to 128!) year old snoodle.

My friend has a short fat black dog of unknown variety. The interesting part? it weighs 370 pounds and is named Lucy.

There is no way it weighs 370 pounds.  My Mastiff was as big as a person(Not foot-to-shoulder, of course) and never broke 200 pounds.

Also, I don't have any pets anymore, both of my dogs are dead and all that's left are cats.  I don't consider them pets, I consider them pests that we have to feed, and I would not shed a single tear if every one of them were to die.

Lets see, if you count just general farm animals as "pets" A couple horses, couple dozen goats, few cows, some chickens.

As for our house pets, 3 dogs, bunch of cats.

Pets that are "mine" 1 dog and 1 kitteh...

Don't have a pic of my dog but heres a pic of Pirate kitteh:

I have a cat with no name. He's not really a house pet as we only let him inside during winter.

I got two cats when I was four years old.  Brothers, named Bear and Toast - the fattest, orneriest cats ever to stalk the Midwest.  Not at the same time.  Bear was the ornery one, Toast the fat one.  They had to stay with my dad when he moved out to the country.  By then they were about fourteen years old but insisted on going outside at night, and they both disappeared inside a few months.

Coinciding, we had a Black Labrador named Ladybell.  The cats were already seven-ish when we got the dog, so they hated her.  Until she was started beating up the neighbor cats, and they all got along fine.  She loved to play jokes on them, like walking up on them while eating and mashing their faces in the food.  She also loved to eat trash like bottlecaps and sparkplugs, eventually tore up her digestive tract.  He had to put her down at nine years old after her intestines started failing.

Right now, I have a couple cats.  One is a cross-eyed Siamese named Frank (after singer Frank Sinatra) - he's an egotistical ass.  The other was a semi-stray that came with the house, who we've named Gladys (after singer Gladys Night) - she's a pushy bitch.

My fiance and I had a parrot until a few months ago. Trouble with parrots is that they're flock animals and they're fairly smart. They need a lot of attention, and neither of us was home often enough. The bird would start screeching, sometimes for hours, if we left her sight even for a few seconds. We ended up giving her to a shelter. She seemed pretty happy to be surrounded by other birds.

I have 3 cats Patches, her daughter Chianti (Yes, after the wine.) and Harvey/Harley the nephew of Chianti, grandson of Patches. Patches is a vicious cat, if she wants to be nice then she can be very nice on the other hand if you try to do something she doesn't want like give her a worming tablet then she will take the skin off your hand. She also doesn't like other cats and chased off several cats that used to live nearby. Chianti is the stupidest cat I've ever met, but so long as you stroke her she's happy. And Harvey is still technically a kitten even though he is massive, about the same size as Chianti and Patches put together plus a little more, he also has an annoying habit of bringing me presents of dead birds if I'm the only one at home.

Only dead birds? You must be lucky, Saga and Pyret brings all kind of dead/living/half dead critters to me. THey also bring random trash sometimes like a left glove.

Lot's of animals for me.
Until recently, I had three fish tanks with assorted tropical fish. Five cats plus three to four that are staying with us from a friend.

One of our friend's cats, Shadow, is huge. He's the kitten of our cat Molly. He weighs 30 pounds, and it isn't mostly fat. I'll find a picture.

I also have a Russian Tortise named thumper.
