Well yes .. dwarves might die. They might die pretty much no matter what they do. Oncoming flood? They stand on the wrong side and install the flood gate.
It's why he should tell all dwarves that aren't agile to NOT haul the stuff that will lure the cyclops out.. so.. it doesn't have to cost dwarves to get that cyclops in a cage. :)

when ever i send a dwarf there to lure them they do the "brave" thing and try to take her on single handed and get pummeled i lost 4 dwarves so far

edit: she ran through 4 cage traps and didn't set a single one off i thought if a creature didnt have trap avoid they always set of traps

1. Dig Route to under Cyclops. (GCS, Ect.)
2. Place Cage Trap.
3. Dig up ramp to Cyclops.
4. Pray that the miner can run the 2sqs behind the cage trap.

When you get it, post a video of the thief and the cyclops getting into a fight.  If the thief wins, let it go.

i will now pit my new best friend against the thief and shoot a video

never mind she died from the wounds i had to inflict to get her into the cage
and i forgot to save

ah that's too bad ... because I was lying to you.

Cyclops can open doors and if you had locked it and hadn't built a cage she would have run rampant through your fortress.

how awful that she died.
