And what if we can't get the engines back up after you turn them off?!

Turn 4!
I've decided to switch to just numbers for hunger and thirst. The limit for hunger is 10 and 8 for thirst.
(sorry for all the alterations, still trying to get the hang of this)

Aboard the Freighter..
Incoming Transmission from Frelock!
The monitor displays the job offer of hauling building supplies from Miros to Durgen for 300. The monitor then displays the system map which the navcomputer copies and stores.

Quote from: Org
I turn off the engine. Then work on it to make it better.
You go to the engine rooms and initiate shutdown. Back in the control room the monitor flashes and announces that all systems save lighting and life support are going offline to preserve power which was generated by the turbine engines. | You then proceed to rip off the access panels and burn your hands on the still hot engine turbines. You yelp in pain and jump back. Luckily, aside from the removed panels, the engines are undamaged.
| You gained no xp from your mistake.

I inform people of the note the former owner left, and then I go eat and drink something.
You walk to the control room and inform the other crew members of the message. You then go to the mess hall and pour some water from the tank dispenser and drink 3 units. The tank now reads 179 units. After that, you proceed to take your rations from your locker and eat them. Mmmm.. cardboard. You no longer feel hungry or thirsty.

I'm going to cook my meat into FOOD. I will then have a bite to satiate myself and offer some to others.
| You take your 2 portions of Dryrdbeast Meat and set them on the cooking unit. After a short period of cooking and adding some herbs you found in a small storage box, you have produced 6 Drydbeast Steaks!
You gained 1 xp toward Improved Cooking!

Quote from: Frelock
I'll go around the planet looking for a junkyard.  I'll spend some time there looking for some weapons components.
You bid the contractor farewell for the present and go off and search for a junkyard. | After awhile of searching, you find a single small yard. | You search and find a bunch of rusted gears and some sheet metal but no weapon components.

Upon being informed of the note by inaluct, I travel to maintenance hatch 1 and look around for anything interesting or suspicious.
You climb down the ladder to the lower level and head to the maintenance access. Lifting one of the hatches, you climb down the small ladder. You then start looking for anything of importance. | After almost an hour searching, you find nothing. After you climb back out, you reseal the hatch and notice on it the words printed: Maintenance 2. You slap yourself on the forehead.

I start collecting valuable debris with the space claw.
| You try to use the space claw and bring in some of the more valuable looking parts, but the space claw does not respond! Realizing someone has deactivated the engines, you go back to the engine room, | put the access panels back on carefully, and try to start the turbines back up. | It takes a bit to get them going again, consuming another .5 units of fuel.

The largest room of the ship and also the most empty. There is nothing here save for a large hatch in the floor which is remotely controlled.

Engine Room Occupants: Org, Cpt. Jay Kayell
Here is housed the two chemical turbine engines that propel the ship. The excess heat generated helps power the ship. It is quite warm in here.

At a small Junkyard, Agentar, Durgen Occupants: Frelock
There are a few heaps of junk here, mostly rusted gears and sheet metal.

Debris Field
A small debris field that seems to be the untouched remnants of a battle in the distant past. There are various starcruiser parts floating around, most seem to be heavily damaged or melted.

In Orbit Around Durgen
The only thing visible aside from the deeps of space and the planet itself is Durgen's moon, Giren. The moon seems to be mostly barren but it seems to have a thin, pinkish colored atmosphere. From orbit the night side of Durgen is visible. The only features visible are the lights from a few settlements.

Org, just get yourself doctored up.  It's a good chance for "Doc" to practice.

I'll grab a bite to eat and take a swig of water as well.  After that, look for some small job I could help out with, planet-side.

Oh, and Katsuun's Locker is currently inside inaluct's locker (spoiler-tag wise).

Turn 5

Quote from: Org
I get some super oven mitts, then go back to the engines.
Not letting your mishap be a deterrence, you go and search for some "super oven mitts". | You don't find any however, but instead a pair of thin cloth gloves, found in the Mess Hall. You try and pick them up, but your scorched palms protest violently and you drop the gloves in pain.
(burns have caused some of the worst pain I've experienced)
| The burns on your hands do not seem to get any better.

I try again to haul in some valuable debris.
| You try once more to grab some debris, but it seems power has not yet been restored to the claw. Suddenly, a power surge shoots through the claw controls and you get zapped! | Luckily, you recieve only a minor jolt and your hands are slightly burned. Power seems to be fully restored to the ship now.

After your promotion, you quickly head to your locker and get your sword. You then walk to and stand guard at the doorway to the Engine Room. Unfortunately, there are two entrances.

I'll grab a bite to eat and take a swig of water as well.  After that, look for some small job I could help out with, planet-side.
You eat your tasty rations and drink 4 units of water. After that, you look for some rather short-term employment. | You land a job on a farm just outside Agentar. You job is to feed Whelms, which are elongated cow-like creatures, and massive Dryrdbeasts, bulbious creatures with stubby legs and three tusk-like plates protruding from its nose and cheeks. The job is simple but time consuming. After you're finished, the farmer pays you 12 credits.

Lacking what you need to treat Org's burns, you search the Crew Quaters for some first aid items. | You find some burn ointment and apply it to Org's hands. You determine that they should be better in 2 turns. You then go to your locker and take out your rations and water. You eat the rations and drink 4 units of water, deciding to keep the rest with you.
