I pilot the ship to the debris field I found. If I can do so this turn I also start filling the cargo hold with the debris.

Turn 3! Now with (hopefully) better formatting!

Quote from: Katsuun
I'll deposit everything besides my clothes and raw meat in my locker, then examine the ships cooking unit.
You stash your stuff in one of the lockers and pass-lock it. You realize that your water would store better in the tank. You head to the mess hall, pour 80 units of water into the tank, and take a look at the cooking unit. | You determine that it really is quite basic.
Quote from: Katsuun's Status
Location: Mess Hall, Kradellian 307 Freighter, in orbit above Durgen.
Health: Unharmed, Hungry, Thirsty
Worn Equipment: (body) Shabby Plain Clothes
Spoiler: Inventory: (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Attributes and Skills (click to show/hide)

Quote from: Org
Go find a merchant ship.
You sit yourself down in front of the flight controls and try to fly around looking for a ship. |  You manage to get the basic gist of the helm controls and manage to keep the ship under control. You then begin looking out the main viewport for any merchant ships. | You locate no ships. The status monitor informs you that .5 units of chemical fuel were consumed; (4/20) remaining.

You gained 1xp toward basic Pilot: Medium Spacecraft!
Quote from: Orgs's Status
Location: Crew quarters, Kradellian 307 Freighter, in orbit above Durgen.
Health:  Unharmed, hungry, thirsty
Worn Equipment: (body) Grey Average Clothes, (upper/lower body) Impacmesh Vest
Spoiler: Inventory: (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Attributes and Skills (click to show/hide)

Quote from: Frelock
I find somewhere that I can transmit the holomap to the ship, with the job offer attached.
| You easily locate a public data terminal and upload the map and the offer onto it. The terminal then sends the information to a short range transmitter module and beams it to the ship.

I read through random articles in the ship's databank.
You scan through the few articles contained with in the ship's databank, which you discover, is attached to the navcomputer.  | You find most to be of no interest save for a few. One in particular, which was written by the previous owner of the ship, catches your eye..

You push Org aside and assume control of the freighter. You hit the accelerator and |fly the ship to the debris field. The monitor informs you that another .5 units of chemical fuel has been consumed (3.5/20). You fly the ship into the debris field, searching for anything worth collecting.  You are careless however, and accidentally hit a chunk of half-melted star cruiser engine. You panic for a moment until you read the monitor: Force Shield Strength (8/10) two turns until regenerated.

You gained 1 xp to intermediate Pilot: Medium Spacecraft!

Ladder between Upper and Lower Levels
Exit Hatch

Maintenance Access
Small crawl spaces to allow access to power relays and other systems.

Storage Room / Cargo Hatch
The largest room of the ship and also the most empty. There is nothing here save for a large hatch in the floor which is remotely controlled.

At moderately busy street near the docking bays, Agentar Starport, Durgen.Occupants: Frelock (at a Data Terminal), moderate pedestrian traffic, light ground vehicle traffic.
A few short buildings line the street as various people and vehicles seek their destinations.

In Orbit Above Durgen
The only thing visible aside from the deeps of space and the planet itself is Durgen's moon, Giren. The moon seems to be mostly barren but it seems to have a thin, pinkish colored atmosphere. From orbit the day side of Durgen is visible. Its surface is mainly yellow-green in color with a few small oceans and mountain ranges. A few settlements are also visible.

Small Debris Field Occupants: Kradellian 307 Freighter
Various starcruiser parts litter this area, seemingly the remnants of a skirmish in the distance past.

I inform people of the note the former owner left, and then I go eat and drink something.

Org, you shouldn't work on the engines while they're in use, probably.

I'm going to cook my meat into FOOD. I will then have a bite to satiate myself and offer some to others.

I highly suggest that you guys take that hauling job.

I'll go around the planet looking for a junkyard.  I'll spend some time there looking for some weapons components.

That hauling contract seems good, but I think we need more fuel first. And fuel costs money.

Action: I start collecting valuable debris with the space claw.

Also: Org, if you damage the engines the repair costs will some straight out of your share of any money we make.

And if you turn off the engines, we can no longer control the movement of the ship. IE, it will continue moving in whatever direction it is currently heading, possibly causing a collision. And because the space claw is in use, it might be crushed by the collision. In fact, it's probably powered by the engines, so it might not even work, anyway.

Life support could be powered by the engines. And what if we can't get the engines back up after you turn them off?!
