Make an image of the stationary PCs harddrive, format the harddrive, try to restore the image. you know, get comfortable with the process, risking only non-sensitive data.

ok got new adapter, 2 more questions

how do i tell if i have a CD burner on my laptop?

once i restore my laptop, will i be able to do it again without copying the data onto my disks again?
