I plan to leave VN when the next release comes out. It's fine, I post sensibly in other parts of the forum, don't worry yourself

I am kinda sitting the fence here, on one side I really strongly feel that longing for the good old days and that since the decay of these forums an important part of my life is gone, and I like to proclaim this loudly. in the other hand I post in VN and enjoy it.
I am also an environmentalist.

See?  There, Armok said it again.  "Good old days".  What "good old days" were they?  What was going on?  When did they happen, and why wasn't I there to see it?

Ah, it were the days when wolves could vanish en reappear with no warning or clear reason, when the methaphorical gutter was unoccupied and basically, when the community was still small and everyone knew everyone. With the influx of new people, the familiarity fades. It's like a village or small community gradually transforming in to a city, and we are the oldies sitting on the bench, watching the young whippersnappers, while talking about the "Good old days.".

Did you just post a bunch of vegi-dicks on my board?  I've been trying to combat forum devolution a bit, and that involves fewer vegi-dicks!

If Fenrir-esque piles of roleplaying was the norm, then I don't see where things have changed much.

And considering there's only about 20 big talkers, and they all have avatars, I don't get the familiarity problem.

I have noticed a few threads where people were harsh to newcomers and scared them away. Now I don't know how often that happened in the 'good 'ol days" nor do I necessarily believe we were harsh without reason(There are a fair number of already suggested/bad ideas), but we should strive to not look like a clique forum.

Oh Gaia... How your snobbishness excluded me for the last time.

What is gaia anyway?
