Lamest artifact ever

Lid Akest, the Tightnesses of Dominating, a Granite quern
This is a Granite quern. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It is encircled with bands of Granite. It menaces with spikes of Granite.

And it's only worth 3600 dwarfbucks.  :(

And then what?  Mine the sky? . . .  Actually, that'd be awesome.

honestly, while a lame artifact, it's nowhere near the worst ever. As a buildable item, you can stick in an important dwarf's room and get a nice bump to that room's value.

I had a turtle shell idol, with spikes of turtle shell. 2400☼

a kobold stole it. best kobold ever

I've seen worse. None of the other dwarfs seemed to mind that my jeweler spent a month carving a chrysoprase into the shape of a chrysoprase...

Did you just unearth a lot of those chrysophrases?

Urist Austin, Axedwarf.  A dwarf barely alive.  Gentledwarves, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic dwarf. Urist Austin will be that dwarf. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.

Had an axe called "The Flash of Owning"
It was made out of turtle shell. If it was made out of metal it would of been awesome

I once had a legendary BUCKET.  Made of maple, with spikes of turtle shell, and a sailfin-molly bone handle.  I don't remember how much it was worth, but I think it was something like 1400 Db

I've had lots of rock/wood crafts with a single rock/wood decoration as well. I don't really mind as long as I occasionally get red beryl statues and steel plate armors as well.

My dwarves don't seem interested at all in topping each other's efforts. I'm used to seeing artefact values increase over time as I get more expensive goods that can be used...instead, in this game, this is what I got:
First one was valued at 168,000¤ (it sextupled my fortress value!!!) - low boot made out of aluminium
Second one was valued at 9,600¤ - crown made out of native copper (what a waste)
Third one was 12,000¤ - chain made out of green glass, with andesite decorations
Fourth was 2,400¤ :( - door made out of andesite

There are three things I know about dwarves:
1. They've got beards. Even the women.
2. They're short. Especially the women.
3. They're Scottish.

A single artifact boot..  even with the high value, that's pretty lame.. ONE BOOT?  sheesh.

this is even funnier when you realie that Kaolinite is the 'active ingredient' in Kaopectate.

So you have an anti-diarrheal hatch cover.

I KNEW that a diet consisting entirely of fungus wasn't healthy. Good thing I put it in the dining room.
