Possible crimes:
Theft
Murder
Rape (0.0)

Murder Rape, followed by Cremation

Slow Murder Rape...
Child Abuse (Urist McAcedick, punch child in snout to establish superiority)
Illicit pornography
and the list goes on.

I think we should leave most of these out of dwarf fortress.... Dwarves have sex by spores and therefore are incapable of rape... 

Every male gives off spores all the time just only females who have underwent a marriage ceremony with them is receptive to them.

I'm more concerned about the fact that someone trying to think of a representative set of crimes came up with "rape" for half of them.

He's just being blunt, guys. Rape might not be the best idea, but it happens all the time. Just like murder, theft, and child abuse.

I'm not saying it's a great idea for the game, but it is a crime. One that I wouldn't mind being implemented, as long as it was given a realistic occurrence factor.

Also, isn't the "spore reproduction" going to change in the future? Won't creatures have to actually meet up to make babies?

Overall, I'm just saying that I think he's made a valid suggestion.

Rape and stuff? No. Let's leave sexuality out of it.

Brawls and such? Sure why not. Theft anyone? How about stealing the child of your grudge and selling it to goblins?
How about punishing children for playing around, hiding weapons, steal weapons and play with them (possibly killing eachother or animals) or just pulling levers and accidentally the whole fortress.

The criminal system could use tweaks. I know Toady is working on them but I find it a bit unreasonable that a dwarf of mine threw a tantrum after her husband was killed. She broke her own bed and then went to see the mayor ... a guard caught her and broke both her arms and one leg and kicked her some for good measure. I mean it was HER BED! and she had a good reason.
Now just recently I sold a couple of war hammers even though the mayor explicitly mandates I wasn't allowed to ... and nothing.

So I did it again and still nothing. Apparently she doesn't mind. heh. dwarven mayors amiright?
