Just to point it out, with the guns, although these starting guns are pretty bland and generic, it's not as though you buy a gun and that's that. As Golgath mentioned with many goodies, there will be plenty of attachments and modifications. For instance, a battle rifle isn't something you can buy at the beginning, no, but as far as I can tell a battle rifle is an assault rifle with extra accuracy and a scope, both easily possible through modification and attachments. If there's more to it that isn't simply cosmetic in the gun's look, it is most likely possible, such as modifying a gun's barrel length. For some, a literal gun name is best, as some are familiar with them. For others, like me, each individual name describes close to nothing about it. However, most people do know the distinction between an automatic rifle versus a pistol, and simply stating those generic names, combined with whatever attachments, should be much more universal in comprehension. Of course, people could take the gun name and search google images or something for it, but it is still easier to just see the base look, and additional parts.
For an example, think of computers. You can list off the names of plenty of computers, and for those who know that model/build, they understand it. However, for others, noting the specific upgrades to it, such as the graphics memory or RAM, is much more useful, as they may not know what the difference is between the names. We're taking that approach.
Again, either way could work fairly easily, but generic names work easier, in my opinion. So let's try to move away from this debate here, and get back into suggestions, if anyone has them, or questions concerning something.
