Just wanted to quickly ask for the generic weapon creation. Would people prefer seeing text, for instance, short range versus long range, low damage versus high damage, or should I do something more like this?

Damage: ███
Range: ███████

Damage: █████
Range: ████

Either is fine with me, just checking what others would prefer.

Honestly, I would prefer a representational system.  Keeping the game mechanics in a blackbox like that keeps numbercrunching of the consideration, so freeballing feels more reasonable and cuts down on arguments.

'course not.  Might take a bit for us to get everything working, but we welcome all players who can stay active.

Try for text descriptors. Makes it vague.

If you want my opinion go with the bars, just enough info to be useful, not enough to super min/max.

I like knowing what I'm firing, personally.

There's obviously going to be more information then that later on.  We're still working on it.

If you haven't realised, two things can happen now.

1. You can realise that a knife is quieter than a rifle, and you change to something else.

OR

2. I'll stab them, you cover me.

Oh, we select weapons now? Cool.

Edit: How much money do we start with, and can I screw a silencer on my rifle?

I'm definitely interested.  I'll keep an eye on this thread and speak up if I have any ideas.  Looking forward to this!

On the Wall is a Masterfully engraved carving of Urist McHardcastle and Goblins. Urist McHardcastle is surrounded by the Goblins. The Golbins are stamping on Urist McHardcastle. Urist McHardcaste is laughing at the Goblins. The carving related to the prolonged and bloody death of Urist McHardcastle in the Fall of 1659, the Winter of 1659, and the Spring of 1660. On the engraving is an image of Cheese.
