just noticed my dwarves made an artifact statue with the image of a dwarf striking down a sasquatch?

has anyone seen bigfoot?

Its one of the creatures in the game. Its a normal creature actually, not a mega or semimegabeast, as well.

yeah one of my adventurers killed so many Sasquatches that he got a nick name
i forget what the name was though

Yes, the Sasquatch is a creature in the game.  They can be relatively dangerous for Hunters.

i hope i get to see/kill one.  the current fortress is on a haunted glacier bordering some woods.

You'll probably see them if you wait long enough, they like cold areas.  I've only seen them when I was making my groundbreaking attempt at summitting a DF Mountain, and exploring a long-abandoned fortress.  Even then, the only one I saw had already been webbed and devoured by a GCS.
