Great 6x6 Site
« on: April 03, 2009, 02:12:50 am »

Brook, Underground River, Underground Pool, Small Chasm, Magma Pipe, Trees, Mountains, HFS, Evil Biome, Marble, Sand, Hematite.
All in all a reasonably good site for a Succession Game I would think. Oh did i mention a good bit of Obsidian?  ;D Generated using 40d with no game mods, only a tile set and graphics set.

By the way I hope that the floor around the Underground Pool being White Sand counts as sand for smelting glass. The read-me has the Finder settings to use to find the site.
Legolord if you would like to take part in a Succession, would you kick it off sir? At the moment I can not really take the time that would be needful to really do this justice. Perhaps you could do the first 2 turns, yours and mine? :) I would really enjoy watching a succesion on this map. BTW, it is Terrifying, and Untamed Wilds. The UW is only a smal part however.
In other news i think you will find a Troll in the chasm. Would he make a good "gate guard"? Or something?

Let me know what you think.  ;D

P.S. Evil Wilds is the name of the 7zip self extractor file on DFFD / pregenerated worlds

My bad. I hit Upload but not submit page. I was in a hurry to get to my next job, oops! I am uploading now and will hit the submit button this time :P

P.S. this time it is called: evil is good.
I just verified, the link is active in pregenerated worlds on DFFD

Sorry.  I'm doing a turn in one now, and will have to get back to my community fort once it's done.  Thanks for the offer, though.

Anyone else confirm the problem with the map? It works perfect here. Did you try generating from the seed and world gen settings i posted?
In other news, there is a bottomless pit in the bottom left corner with a 2nd troll. Hmm...breeding pair of trolls?

This is a download of a mostly vanilla 40d WITH this world and embark location ready to play. I used the Mayday Universal start for embark settings / loadouts. It gives a reasonable start. I also modified the Large and Medium World Gen settings to what was used to generate this world.

I briefly thought about uploading the Graphics and Tile Set i used as well, but noted that you appear to be using vanilla ascii. If there is any interested I can upload a version with graphics and tileset modded in.

Not sure what happened to make it so difficult in generation this exact embark location.
