"This is an engraving of Dumuramud the golden spear and dwarves. The dwarves are dead."

That's how it's going to the history books.

I have a feeling its going to be more;

"This is an engraving Dumuramud and dwarves. The dwarves are making a plaintive gesture. Dumuramud is laughing."

And before you know it, some goblins move in to your old fort, settle and begin a religion based on the spear.

'Angered I check the door to see exactly what was blocking it, an orc, and protruding from its body? Dumuramud…'

Pure classic.  :D

I believe there may have been a cursed pair of chainmail pants in one of my games.  My best adventure mode character in that world had killed a hydra, a goblin swordsmaster(Who had a kill record of like 20-something adventurers), and many other various monsters, bought a pair of chainmail pants that depicted a previous adventurer being killed by a mountain lion.  He later killed said mountain lion in the same cave as the hydra, and was later killed by an ettin that strangled him.  I wouldn't have thought it was cursed, were it not for the fact that weeks later, I wandered into a cave to kill an ettin, and sure enough, there he was, and there they were.  I felt a certain connection in that place to dark, otherworldly things, and could swear that they could see me.  I quickly left, and never came back.

That story sounds exactly like the sort of thing that would happen if a piece of fiction were called "The Curse of the Golden Spear". The best part is that it happened naturally, all of it in-game.

I've never had any cursed artifacts. Larch idols don't have much killing power or room for disaster contained within them.

The spear may be evil but the one who created it was the worst one...
CHECK Sheen's HISTORY NOW! He created that cursed artifact with a few step into your fortress.
