I will definitely try to make a modbase module once I get everything done and tested properly. I'll probably do a release as I'll have it at the time (replace these files with these files, etc.), and then try to make it modbase compatible.

Hello!

That was mandated after I played one map that had, if memory serves, *8* full clusters of Magnetite on a 3x3! That offended my sense of balance JUST a bit. Being awash with resources is a bit UN-funning to me. :)

Good morning!

More progress made: Molten rocks fully integrated. All densities applied. All the mineral tiles are assigned. Now I'm going through and assigning color values to all of them, trying to maintain some sense of logical organization. All that will probably require some significant tweaking once I start genning worlds and LOOKING at it, but that's only to be expected.

Once that's all good all I should have left is reassigning the vermin entries to use the vermin tiles, and maybe tweaking a few tree entries too. I think I moved some of them as well.

Things are on hold for the moment, but work should resume shortly. RL, drat it all, is interfering with my modding time.

This is a pretty ambitious and awesome mod. I'm looking forward to the release.

I do have a suggestion: maybe release two flavors of the mod, a fantasy version and a realistic version? That way, everyone can have their game the way they like it. I guess it would be pretty trivial for people to go and edit out the fantasy metals themselves, but still.

A thought: Mithril kinda sounds like Titanium when you really think about it, ya know? I wonder if, like Adamantine might as well be iridium/osmium, Mithril could just be identical to Titanium except the name in order preserve both the period and the fantasy.

Just wanted to say this looks pretty damn dorfy.  It'll be the perfect excuse to retire my current fort (5 years old, and my first fort, so it's a bit awkward at this point) and start up a new one.

Increasing their price still lets you embark with them instead of steel (just pushes your total embark points up enough for a e.g. mithril axe & anvil).

I was wondering if you could say how you avoided this. I take it you haven't had adamant veins at surface level. ???
