At the moment we have the ability to use the tab key to switch through various views.

at the moment we have the choice between full screen, 2/3 main screen with the commands or the local view as the other 1/3rd, or 1/3rd for all three.

i dont find any real use for the local view, and i pretty much always stay with the 2/3rds main view up, so what i propose is this:

pressing shift+tab toggles the side screen on and off (full view/ 2/3rd view) and pressing tab cycles through the command listing, the local view, and a new screen that shows the current status that can look like this:


Overall mood:  <shows the average mood>
  - % unhappy <shows the #/total fort occupants that are unhappy>
  - % miserable <same as above, but miserable>

Job Status:
  - Idle:  <# of dwarves without jobs>
  - Pending Dumps: <gives a totalled # of how many items left are designated dump exist, useful for keeping track of mass dumping of excess stone and such into chasms/magma>
  - Pending Melts: <same as above but lists the melt designated items, useful for mass melting the junk left by a siege>



and theres likely other info that can be added in as well, this is just the stuff that was on the top of my head.
