Re-open/Back Button
« on: March 30, 2009, 07:45:21 pm »

I constantly find myself zooming on a dwarf or other creature in the "U" menu to make sure it's the one I want, then having to go back into the "U" menu and find it again.  Early on this isn't an issue, but now that I've got over 40 dwarves and a load of dead animals and invaders, it's getting irritating.

Therefore, I propose a key binding that would allow the player to re-open the previous menu (Stocks, build, designate, whatever) with the previously selected object still highlighted.  Possibly with multiple levels, so that they could go back multiple steps.

Any comments, criticism, etc?

On the Wall is a Masterfully engraved carving of Urist McHardcastle and Goblins. Urist McHardcastle is surrounded by the Goblins. The Golbins are stamping on Urist McHardcastle. Urist McHardcaste is laughing at the Goblins. The carving related to the prolonged and bloody death of Urist McHardcastle in the Fall of 1659, the Winter of 1659, and the Spring of 1660. On the engraving is an image of Cheese.

A good idea... I think the backspace key might work for this?
