Two boots are for Elves

In my apparently futile attempt to armor and arm the dwarves of Nutwhp (The name wasn't selected by myslef, and yes, I cringe when I think of that. Aw...) I smelted iron low boots for the military. What I discovered is that when dwarves go to pick up equipment, they usually go into the shop after the metalsmith has finished making the boot, pick up ONE boot, put it on, and walk away, leaving the next boot to be scavenged by however is looking for a complete set of boots.

Thank god for machine gun crossbows, because without them.....We'd be screwed.

They put the pieces of armor on one at a time, so they can only task one clothing item when equipping themselves. You probably have some other dwarf who has his eyes set on that other boot. More boots is the answer, since I haven't had a problem with dwarves putting on equipment as long as there was enough to go around.

one of my legendary wrestlers put on 3 steel helms. 1 on head, 1 in each arm. he wasn't brightest bulb in the drawer.
