wierd resolution

i have a laptop with widescreen and use 1280x800 what should i write in the init file???
because all the dwarf fortress i download have wierd resolution and can't go fullscreen :(

You can change the grid sitting in the init.txt file to change how many tiles the game displays, in order to match your resolution.

Or, in that file, you could enable blackspace and make sure your DF screen is *smaller* than your resolution, so the extra space is just black instead of things stretching a lot.

Switch the tileset to the 8x12 curses font one, and your grid settings will be 160:66 and your resolution should be 1280x800, just make sure you turn BLACKSPACE on so it doesn't stretch anything.

I run 1280x800 too, never changed any settings, only blackspace to yes...

However, since the new grid options, I do tend to set those to 80:40 to view more in one screen
