Has anybody actually made an orbital bombardment system yet? I know the plans for it are all done and ready, but has anyone actually done it?

Im waiting for building downwards to be invented. This kind of thing would be alot easier if you could..I dunno, dangle your dwarves 20 z-levels above the ground while the desperatly try to build a floor for them to stand on.
