There's a thread floating around here about a guy who tried to capture HFS using that method. IIRC it works for regular HFS, but our burny friends are a little harder because they had an unfortunate tendency to melt the mechanisms (raw admantanium melts at the same temperature as a SoF).

So in short, no, I don't think it can be done without modding.

Also, pretty sure bars aren't constructions, and are hence destroyable, but don't hold me to it.

The Marx generator will produce Engels-waves which should allow the inherently unstable isotope of Leninium to undergo a rapid Stalinisation in mere trockoseconds.

Couldn't you get the HFS to where you want it without caging it?

It's much trickier, but seems like it would be atleast possible.

Yah, it sounds like minecraft with content, you have obviously missed the point, people dont like content, they like different coloured blocks.
Seems to work fine with my copy. As soon as I loaded the human caravan came by and the world burst into fire.

I love this game. Using [redacted] from the [redacted] to make, of all things, a place of rest, relaxation, and luxury for your dwarves. Everything is a harnessable tool!

The guy Osmosis Jones is talking about has several videos on the DFMA. The [redacted] probably can't be caught without modding, based on his conclusions and video.

Here's one of the videos.

Leading one of the [redacted] to where you want them to go will likely involve something equally complicated, probably involving sealing them behind an obsidion block that you would have to create by mixing magma and water, if the [redacted] doesn't melt every single one of your buildings before that and end your fort in destruction.

If your current approach doesn't work, an "ever" burning coal bin might be what you want...
