How do you deal with vermin? (preferably horribly)
« on: March 24, 2009, 03:02:32 am »

Think-tank people! How can we kill, butcher, main, gouge, rip, tear, read horrible poetry to and or injure  them mentally? This is important!

(Obviously there is an ulterior motive but for now, death to wamblers!)

Kay, I enjoy trapping rats and roaches and throwing them into magma. Also, if you set up a trap outside a cave you get so many bats it's not funny (until you kill them)

An innocent wambler, one Fluffy,
was dismembered by a cat, named Scruffy.
Dwarves picked up it's parts,
then hauled those some yards.
Now fluffy's a child's doll called Stuffy

Don't bait the poor wambler.  I'd PM'd him not to post since he was necroing old mentions of wamblers randomly.

Right right, sorry. I'm surprised he hasn't posted yet. For now, changing thread.

A new member joined, "fluffy wambler" who only says "feep feep feep" and posts in threads mentioning wamblers. Wanted to see his reaction. Also, I did want to hear of how you deal with wamblers because I do single them out almost exclusively for pyrogenics. Fun times!

Thank you for clarification ;)

Okay, one more then..

A demonic rat,
was chased by a cat,
tried to slip through a hole,
but was simply too fat.

It got stuck halfway through,
couldn't move one more bit
so the cat learned it's lesson:
Demonic rats taste like sh**

Set your fort on fire, easy enough.

Or Starve all your dwarfs, so they eat them

Leave them in cages scattered about the mines to act as advances warning of toxic gasses...

Unnecessary. Just trap them and dwarves will happily eat them out of cages/traps.
I never bring cats, i just assign one dwarf to trapping duty and dump all the vermin in a cage near the dining area. Saves me on food too.

I'll try a poem too!

...chewed on a gizzard?

I give up.  :P
