Nah, just induced tolerance.
Eat foods regularly and you learn to enjoy them.
Seems babies learn to enjoy certain foods while in the womb and to a lesser degree from breastmilk.

First link in the post is one. ;)

It's the huge deathstar poi that are featured in the first two photos. It washes out my camcorder it's so bright :P

At the end it dies down a bit and you can see what it looks like normally.

Bringing this back from the dead because threads like this are great for humanizing all you strangers who seem to share this masochistic Dwarf Fortress obsession with me.

No car folks around here, eh?  Cars are my main nerd haven.  Very passionate about them.  It's almost a spiritual thing.  There's nothing better than a day spent in the garage and an improved horseless carriage to show for it.  I'm working on a 1986 Corolla in my spare time now.  One of my previous main squeezes was this '85 RX-7, and it's still the nearest I've ever had a car to "finished" in terms of getting it back into showroom shape.  Miss this one very much.

Nice R32!  I was looking into importing a GTS-t just like that about 5 years ago; I really wanted the RWD RB20-powered platform... the GT-R is just overkill for what I need.... glad I didn't try to go through with it, as US Customs/EPA/DOT are impounding and crushing every one they can find over here with questionable registration... but they're getting close to the 25-model-year limit on import regulations here... so we may be seeing an influx of them soon in the states.

My hobbies include video games, music, anime, reading, and research. I also collect stuffed animals, figurines, books, DVDs, Magic: the Gathering cards, and various kinds of data.

I'm absolutely terrible when it comes to things that require manual dexterity, so drawing and playing an instrument is completely beyond my grasp. The only hobby that I'm pretty good at is singing, I'm involving in a few local choir activities and I was very involved in choir throughout highschool. I was involved in some pretty fun stuff, including a costumed carolers group. I also write, but I'm not very good at it.

While not really my hobby...

From some time (3 years) i was trying to learn how to draw.
Hell i even downloaded some manuals and guides on "how to stop doodling like a 4 year old in less than 3 years of trying".
Usually after one picture that most often looks horrible i run out of motivation and proceed with self loathing for at least 5 days.

For me - organic chemistry. Especially the synthesis of mind-altering substances. Hell, if I ever get into financial troubles I'll just start up a drug lab and make mafia connections :P

(Not a meth lab, though - meth's unpopular where I live ;) )

I like to cook, I love fashion (Especially winter fashion), I go on bike rides very often, I will sometimes try and fail to draw, I don't currently but I want to procure a guitar.
So a few things going on I guess.

I have or have had a bunch of hobbies, but I'm not great at most of them.

These days it's mostly cooking, writing and digital art (illustration or digital painting).  I program a bit on the side, but it's my job so I don't do it too much when I'm not at work.  I also play lots of computer games, but I'm not sure that really counts as a hobby...

Less frequently I dabble in tabletop wargaming and archery.  Wargaming got too expensive and there aren't many players to play with.  Archery I'm just terrible at.

Other than actual hobbies, I have interests in a lot of science fields.  That includes physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy and quantum mechanics.  I wouldn't really consider those hobbies, since I don't really do anything with them, but I like to read about them sometimes.
