Maybe an exception can be made if you sleep in extreme exces buy choice or somehow like a connoisseur.

I like the idea of a mattress Connoisseur.

"Hmm, yes, this is very soft and comfortable. I will sleep for a bit, wake me up for tea will you?"

Wasn't aware of capsaicin being a hallucinogen.  However, it does have some fun effects.  Such as setting off a pain reaction in your brain ("Help, I'm on fire!") that releases endorphins into your system.  This is essentially homebrewed Morphine, with all the associated fun times (in high enough quantities).

I suppose this is a slight benefit of having lower tolerance.  We can find more stuff that really burns us.  Such as the time my father told me about, where he had ordered a dish as spicy as the chef could make it (I think it was a Chinese restaurant, actually...  Can't remember).  The chef came out and eyed my dad suspiciously for a while, until my dad gave him the thumbs up.

When the food came out, it was covered in peppers (not that amount really means anything, due to the variations in heat from type to type).  About halfway through the meal, he could no longer feel the seat beneath him.  His vision was obscured by periodic explosions of colour, and he was sitting in a pool of his own sweat.

Fun stuff.

And how did your nationality come up in the conversation, exactly?

mattress Connoisseur.
Sounds dwarfish. :)

Or 'collect' strange place to fall asleep, like some people do with sex.

I slept on a plane! and a train and in the rain, on a freezing beach, on a boat, in the sun and in a car also woke up in a closet once, slept on the grass and in bushes, while stoned, while drunk, while under the influence of more than a litre of coffee (not the weak stuff), slept in a NMR scanner, while walking and even while having sex.

Had this message several times:
Areyar cancels sleep: catching own pet vermin
;)

Strange places to wake up might be more fun, but sleepwalkers and alcoholics will have a major edge there.

I like the idea of a sleep expert.

Kagus: Was that last line directed at me? When you're in a different country, you like to tend to brag where you come from right? Canadians will go to the US and say things like,

"Did you know Celine Dion came from Canada? So did Nickleback. Jim Carrey too."

Malaysians go around talking shit about people's cooking and how it doesn't compare to where we come from.  :P

I was up for 24 hours one time, and nearly fell asleep in the middle of a very crowded club. Which is pretty much how I discovered I like Techno/Trance music.

Also, I do love hot peppers, although I don't eat them nearly as much as I used to.
I tend to go for more "spice" and less "heat". I still really enjoy habaneros, though.

I'm an absolute garlic/onion fiend, though.

I think I'd rather forget they are from up here. :p

It's okay, the accumulated win of Neil Young and Nathan Fillion are a sort of fail-cancellation.

Yeah, but then you have Trey Parker and Matt Stone to cancel THAT out.

It's okay, Cannibal! was alright. Baseketball is at least as good as any other Hollywood popcorn-fodder trash, and some episodes of South Park are still funny (I think? I can be hip to the kids. I can get jiggy with them. I am not too old to have already flunked out of cool-school. Right?)

Oh, I nearly forgot Team America: World Police. That was a funny film. Okay, Joe, they are not the most brilliant comics in the world, but at least they're not Celine Dion, or Nickelback.

P.S. Mr. Fillion and Mr. Young are still awesome.

@Umiman: Yeah, well...

Still, Minang-Arab food triumph over Malaysian. In my mouth, at least.
Hmm, I need more peppers... I don't know, it seems that Asians have greater tolerance to 'spices' than whites?

Most of our "cultural" food doesn't integrate hot peppers.  It's really just a matter of eating the stuff.  Damn shame, because we've got a lot of nice pepper-growing locations that aren't being used.  And we're so close to Mexico...

As for garlic, the stuff runs in my blood.  That I will attest to.

And habaneros are good just because they taste good.  The heat is simply an added benefit.  God damn I miss that food...  I've been eating lame sandwiches on dry bread for so long now...   I need to get out of Norway and get some real food.  I mean, hell, the hottest thing I've eaten today was some "spicy" Idün ketchup.  That's just sad.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but "Norse" cuisine doesn't start happening until you get down atleast to Germany, which is close enough to Italy that the two have influenced each other for thousands of years.

Russian food's pretty good though.
