This map was so awesome, i had to give it a whirl.  But i much prefer the 5x5 that goes from includes more chasm and only 1 row of squares north of the magma, and is bounded by magma and adamantine E->W.

Has 6 GCS's if Dwarf Companion is to be believed =).  My only disappointment is there is no tin.  Why tin you say?  How am i suppose to make a bronze colossus without tin?!

heh, kinda strange. When I genned this first, I didn't realise it, but as I searched and found more and more obsidian, I started going "hmm" and decided to check with reveal.


Turns out I had OBSCENE amounts of obsidian. I had no flux, very small amounts of iron, but giant supplies of gabbro, andesite and obsidian.

I was using maydays tileset when I genned that, so I decided to try out what happened when I genned it in a clean DF copy, and sure enough, I get the same site as the OP. I had no mods at all except for the tileset, which just makes it strange.

Thats one of the things that Taunts us about Dwarf Heaven.. so far anyone who has tried to Gen it using mods has ended up with a No Flux site...

Iron isn't a problem due to "DwarfChristmas" but a site like that with no flux is just unbearable.
Which is a crying shame cause I always wanted to gen it using the "PrimitiveCivs" and "Satyr Mod" mods.

I genned it with a heavily modded game and came out with a map that caused me to a double take. It was substantially different, but still good enough for my purposes.

If this map had just a little more open land, It would truly be heaven for me.

I prefer to build a castle on flat ground then carve into the mountain side. With a castle i like to have archers on the walls and mow down goblins before then can ever reach me. And oh do I love drawbridges to release my champions.

I've been trying to gen this in Mayday 40d16 and the best I can find is a site with everything else but magma... And I'm not happy with that.

There doesn't seem to be any Goblin civilizations near me on this site, how do I get them?

Set the history seed to random, goblin civs will change locations without changing the terrain.

Edit: Even then there's no other civ's appearing near me, not even kobold. Still just the one dwarf civilization.
