I never did master the use of circles. Any help for someone who desperately wants to have some circley-birklies in their fort?

Another GCS has been sited in the bottomless, 2 levels below the brook. The mofo caught my miner in its web.

Sweet! I'm building my fortress inside the bottomless and was just about to start working on that level...

Oh to have a mating pair!

There are two threads in this forum (search for circle script) that have scripts for circles for Mac and Windows.

...
apparently this is a map of many firsts.
my second dwarven caravan has 3 wagons and 2 pack mules.
Already bought 4 anvils from the first human caravan so if this caravan has the steel i special ordered i'll have steel crossbows/bolts to deal with those pesky imps soon.
...
And I need to start work on my pumps/water wheels.  Would be a shame to let the next elven caravan live.

But that begs the question, if I drown the eleven caravan will their stuff still be good to me when I drain the area?

hate to be a picky bastard. but wheres the magma pool and the under ground river :P ? also you don't seem to have any sedimentary layers, so no vast deposits of bauxite or magnisite.
false advertising.... I do however love the fact it is a canyon tho.

Game version? 40d10 and 40d11 are a bit 'sticky' with keys. Also, post your script here DIRECTLY from your AHK/Mac&Linux equivalent here.

Fun already. Earlier last night the GCS killed the immigrant wave and a Giant Bat seemed to help a bit. Now, it flew into my canyon and started massacring the plant gatherer. It mangles BOTH her legs and arms before she passed out. It hovered over him, and I rigged my enterance with more cage traps to catch the bat.

The woodcutter eventually put up a good enough fight that the bat became over-exerted and was frequently passing out as I drew it closer and closer to being trapped... then a dog killed it  >:(

The plant gatherer survived and was recovering, until both of my near-legendary farmers had a fey mood and I apparently had no rock!? Yeah, luckily they both fought each other when they went insane.

The survivor went into the bedroom of the recovering female plant gatherer, stripped naked, and then strangled her. He took her cat, and tore it's tail off then stabbed it's eyes out. Then, the crazy farmer grabbed her kid and tore his eyes out before being subdued by 2 wrestlers. I guess he really wanted those rocks  ;)

here's the script i used. thinking about it now it was probably due to sticky keys. i'll have to mess around with that later.

how hard is it to just make a square then "iterate" the corners until its a circle?

using a script for drawing a circle seems.... redundant.(and that's putting it nicely)

I've done quite a few forts, but this is up there with the most brutal I've had so far. The woodcutter mentioned above finally snapped. Why did the only armed dwarf (miners aside) need to go berserk in the center of a crowded meeting area?!? He killed every last dog and puppy in fort aside from 2 that were outside, and killed the remainder of my cats aside from 1 kitten who was with the puppies; which means now I need to request more cats...

He also immediately dispatched 3 useless dwarfs in my meeting area. He ran around, looking for more targets. I drafted my miners quickly but they didnt come soon enough. To prevent him from going back to the meeting area and killing 5 children, I drafted 5 useless dwarfs and stationed them in front of the entrance to stop him and stall until the miners arrived; but they could not stall long enough. He butchered them all with only scratches done to himself. He then proceeded to kill the 5 children. By time the miners got there, I drafted my entire remaining fort (precious engraver aside), and they all swarmed him. Surrounded by 9 dwarves directly adjacent to him; he slaughtered 3 (1 miner included) more before finally going down. He left 3 more dwarves with injuries that will probably kill them. My engraver, who I have been trying to skill up since the very first immigrant wave so he can make my dining hall full of legendary engravings; is now missing a left hand and right arm. My legendary weaponsmith now has 1 leg and 1 arm. My marksdwarf (only military dwaf at the time) is missing an eye and a hand. The wounds are just so ironic...

Well, I started the whole ordeal with 30+ dwarfs and tons of pets. I now have 13 dwaves; 3 of which are horribly injured and 3 more are children; which leaves me with 7 functional dwarves. That woodcutter... slaughtered so much. I left out plenty of side killings as well that occured in the hallway.

If my engraver can engrave without hands (can he?!) then I'm sure the dining hall will be full of images of this.... here is a screenshot of when he butchered the dogs:

And so much for trading with the Humans!
