[5]You walk outside of the Picks of Justice, walking into a near-by grove of trees in search of animals. You hear a rustling in a bush and decide to investigate. To your surprise, you see a brown bear hunting through the grove for fruit. Quietly, you try to slip behind the bear and get him under your power. And it works, you take the bear with no struggle. Over the next hour, you train the animal to be docile to you. Needless to say it works!

[2]You locate a leatherworking workshop and try to mend your waterskin. However, you haven't the first clue on how to work with the leather, so you fail. Nothing happens.

[5]You disassemble the still with little incident, then take from the wood used to make it a few logs and successfully convert them into makeshift tables and chairs. For the final touch, you reassemble the stills brewer in your pub. Congratulations! You now have a pub.

[5]You wander the fortress, in search of a fire source. Successfully, you find a lever that you presume controls a nearby magma channel. And sure enough, it does. You carefully take a near-by piece of wood and dip it in the magma. Success! You now have a makeshift torch.

[6!]You attempt to make yourself some weapons out of iron. You successfully find the iron bars in a stockpile. Happily, you take them over to the magma smelter. It is when there, you realize that you were actually holding charcoal, not iron. The charcoal bursts into flame due to the raw heat of the magma below. You drop the charcoal in a panic. You set the magma smelter, which for some moronic reason was made of wood, on fire. You run.

[3]You go out hunting with your new crossbow. Seeing a deer, you chase after it, shooting bolt after bolt into it. But your wooden bolts fail to finish the job and the deer escapes. However, a few edible parts were left by the arrows, scattered about the ground. You gingerly pick them up. They seem fine. You place the meat in your bag.

[3]You look through the armory, searching for some usable armor. You are able to find some armor, but it is made of copper. (-1 defense). You take it, having seen nothing better.

"Oye boys, this looks like the spot!" A group of goblins at the head of a mule pack traveled to the front gate of the fortress. Dead dwarves littered the ground. "Set up shop!" And so they began. Meanwhile, the leader had a special job to do...

Overall Status:

-Picks of Justice is now a Goblin site. You are now bound by the economy, and need coins or bartering to get things (you can no longer simply search for anything).
-Kel has mysteriously vanished. We'll assume it had something to do with the bottomless pit... perhaps another adventurer can be found amongst the new Goblins.
-First mission next turn.
