Goblin Siege - Play as the hapless goblins that storm or attempt to storm fortresses. Has special rules that I will explain in detail later. (6)
Overveiw:
You are all Goblins, who start off in a recently established camp in the ruins of a former dwarven fortress. You goal is simple, ascend the ranks of the Goblin hirarchy (assuming it survives). Besidesthat, you can do whatever the hell you want, provided that it is within the limits of DF. For instance, you could create a world flooding device with luck and patience. (Though it wont do you much good, since your trying to survive) Standard combat rules apply.
Character Creation:
All standard DF jobs apply here, as a result, you can pick up to two of any of the orignal DF jobs. This will give you standard rank in those jobs, which means you dont get a -1 penalty when trying to perform said job. Upon performing a job, there will also be a chance roll that will decide if you improve in skill. Ranks are as follows:
Dabbling: -1
Novice: -1
Standard: 0
Adept: 0
Competent: +1
Proficient: +1
Legendary:+2
One legendary, epic failures (6's) no longer apply!
You also get one standard millitary skill, free of choice. Finally, there is a new skill, Leadership. Leadership determines how many NPC goblins you can command in seiges and in your fortress.
Leadership, unlike standard skills, can't be chossen or increased with practice. Only famous or infamous deeds will earn you points in this, as determined by myself. The rank is from 0-10, starting at one and every two ranks thereafter, you can command an additonal goblin to do one task, or help you (+1 to a roll).
At 10, you become a squad leader, commanding 6 other goblins and being able to start your own fortress!

History:
In 204 Malachite, over ten years ago, the Goblin civillization known as the "Unfettered Strikers" was able to sucessfuly unify the warring Goblin states into a single empire. Under the rulership of the Demon, Twoteeth Brokenlances, the Goblins proceeded to lay waste to their mortal enemies, the Humans and Dwarves.
The Dwarves, in response to this crisis, created an alliance with the Humans and at the Battle of the Three Rivers, sucessfuly beat back the advancing Goblin armies. At this point, a stalemate ensued, with neither side able to gain an advantage over the other... at least that is, untill the Dwarves created the site of The Picks of Justice...
This site was placed at a key mountain pass, and the geography was able to hem the Goblins seiges of the area. With control of this pass, the Dwarves essentialy split the Goblin civillization in two, and the combined Human and Dwarven armies were able to overwhelm the majority of the Goblin forces at the Seige of Hammerspaces, which ended with the death of Twoteeth Brokenlances.
With the Goblin states in chaos and their mortal enemies closing in, a despearte last attempt was made to reunite the empire. A select team of Goblins infiltrated the Picks of Justice as "prisoners", and were able to break out of their prisons and slaughter the Dwarven guard. Now the empire is reunited, butthe Human and Dwarven armies remain strong. Can you bring the Goblins back to glory before its to late?
