What about a basilisk, those are so hard to get a good picture of.

I think he was just making a joke about that difficulty involved in taking a picture of a creature that kills/turns to stone anyone who looks into its gaze. 

Then again, that might just be me interpreting humor into everything.


And am I the only one who is far more impressed by the detailed musculature of the human than the artistic representation of the basilisk?  And no, I don't just mean that I like looking at half-naked women more than giant snake creatures.  I mean that he did an exceptionally good job of expressing human musculature in order to make a realistic body (something which is damn hard to do just right).

Absolutely,  Vallejo is a master of the human form.  Someone (im too lazy/stupid) should print out all his Conan cover art (I dont know if he made it for Conan or not, but its impressive nontheless)

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.
