Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.

That's a dwarf? I assumed it was just a man it what almost seems like norse armor, with the wings on the head and whatnot.

Yep, the title of the image is "Dwarf Paladin" actually. [I suppose the artist must be a huge WoW fan... ;D] Either way, the image itself is awesome imo.  :)

Yeah, the dimensions all seem to be off for a dwarf, the legs should probably be shorter, the body should probably be broader, and aside from the upper arm muscles it all looks almost plausible for a human. Not a bad piece of artwork though, just doesn't look like a dwarf to me...
