Katsuun: There should be.

Yanlin: RPGTonight has a toolbar on the left.  The "Player Start Page" button is the one you need.  It'll open a new window so you can sign into a game.

Ah. So a game will be opened on the scheduled time with the decided password and all I have to do is join it?

EDIT:  Right, this weekend probably won't work.  I'd like to try for the coming Friday.  Tentative time: 18:00 GMT.

We'll need to work something out. Either not include me or play only on fridays. Or figure out a way to AI me. Maybe put my char under some sort of protection but remove most abilities?

Ok, sorry about not being on this weekend. But I had to play planetside with friends, and yesterday, through to right now, I was at a LAN party... heh :D But yeah, I'd be very much up for doing this this coming friday. All good I say. I'll get onto that browser based thing.

Times for playing, 18:00pm friday - 4am saturday (GMT+0) I'd say.

Edit: Character choice, I'll go for mister Paladin. And i promise to be a good one :D

Your character can be a were pygmy marmoset, Yanlin. When you don't show up, your character has reverted to marmoset form and spends the game sitting on someone's head, eating their lice.

It seems as though interested folks are from vastly different time zones. Though it'd make combat longer and more difficult, I wonder if making a forum-based game would make things easier on people from vastly different time zones? Discuss?

Also, anyone have ideas of how to run grid-based combat in a quick and efficient fashion on the forum?

Maybe having the DM post an image of the current combat area, and all the players and monsters visible. Then people would post their actions in initiative order, and once all players have chosen actions, then the DM rolls for players, and provides a writeup of the round of combat, and its in-game effects?

Example (excuse the crappy pixel art):

--

Warlock's Actions:
 1) Move: (Walk 5): NE-E
 2) Minor: Use Warlock's Curse (At-Will) on Green Dragon
 3) Standard: Use Eldritch Blast (At-Will) on Green Dragon

Barbarian's Actions:
 1)Minor: Ready Battleaxe
 2)Move (Charge 10): E-SE-E-NE
3)Standard Action: Use Howling Strike (At-Will) on Green Dragon

--

Attack Rolls:
  Warlock: 18
  Barbarian: 6

--

Caught by surprise by the waiting adventurers, the young Green Dragon barely turns to face the chanting Warlock as a searing blast of violet fire erupts from the his Ritual Blade. The energy crackles in an arc through the air, striking her solidly in the head. Reeling only briefly from the blow, the Green Dragon catches a sudden movement from the corner of her eye, as the Barbarian charges around the south end of the murky pool of water. Uttering a savage cry, she swings her battleaxe in a wide arc... perhaps too wide, as the strike is off-balance enough that the young Dragon is able to evade the blow, which instead strikes the crumbled stone blocks and rubble at their feet.

Warlock deals 6 damage to Green Dragon
Barbarian misses

Surprise Round Over!

I imagine A_Fey_Dwarf would be the one to talk to about that.
