My hammerer just got married.
« on: March 19, 2009, 06:01:17 pm »

I'm pleased to announce the union of the hammerer Lor Jewelchamber and the planter Thob Whippednail. I'd wish them many years together but that just wouldn't be very dwarflike, so I'm going to instead ignore mandates until Thob is sentenced to a beating from his wife. That way I'll have my own dwarven tale of domestic abuse.

She: "All you do is sit around eating plump helmets all day!!!"
Him: "I'll show you a 'plump helmet' baby mehehe *drops XXPig tail trousersXX*"
Lor Jewelchamber, Hammerer has become enraged!
Thob Whippednail, Planter has been struck down.

50 dwarves may get beaten to death until it's his turn, but that's dwarven life deal with it.

Nice.
Hey, do Dwarves get a particular unhappy thought for being the one striking down the loved one?

The dwarven economy is just a stand-in, from what I understand. As it is, it represents an actual economic system about as well as poison ivy represents a salad.

Yeah, unmarried nobles can tie the knot with the rest of the populace.

In my human fort, it was odd seeing my hammerer named Fruityseers who personally ended the lives of many of my humans get happily married and bear children.

I wonder if he'll have a bad thought when he bashes in his childrens skulls for not making any Adamantine low boots.

"Yeah. My plan was to drop some kittens into the siege, and have my dwarves freefall into battle, landing on top of the kittens. The plan was kinda dumb though because the kittens were standing on grates, and the goblins killed them with arrows just as I was releasing the freefalling dwarves. So the dwarves weren't able to land on kittens and just fell and died."

Probably.  My sheriff once tantrumed after beating one of his friends to death.

Engraved on the floor is a well-designed image of a kobold and a carp.  The kobold is making a plaintive gesture.  The carp is laughing.

No, I mean as differentiated from just "Lost a friend to tragedy." like "Struck down a friend."

I can't find any on the wiki's Thoughts page.  However, doing so is going to pile up a LOT of different bad thoughts anyways.
